A new compact diagonal fan by Ebm-papst is used in Outdoor AirEff enclosures.

Constant cooling efficiency even with clogged filter. Under the same dimensions the new diagonal compact module ensures higher productivity in the same operation mode. Even under growing clogging of filter the diagonal compact module preserves required air flow, in our example – 500 m3/hour. Cooling efficiency of control enclosure does not decrease, which ensures long service life of the equipment and reduces the need for technical maintenance.

Such modules are applied for: cooling of frequency-controlled electrical actuators, electronic devices and inverters as well as standard cooling systems of industrial and engineering equipment.

Significant reduction of energy consumption in comparison with tube axial fans. In light of standards applicable within the industry the new diagonal fan with EU engine ensures saving of up to 49% of electric power preserving similar efficiency. The chart shows energy saving by conventional tube axial fan in comparison with the new diagonal compact module fitted with EU-engine, in standard operation mode in cooling system of control enclosure.

In the version with EU GreenTech electric engine the compact diagonal module can be adjusted to necessary efficiency by air flow. Owing to availability of rotation frequency control feature the efficiency and cooling power remain constant even under growing clogging of filter. This means that dispersion of excessive heat ΔT is maintained at the constant level.

At the same time the compact diagonal module equipped with EU-engine saves large amount of electric power. Besides, the noise level during fan operation is reduced approximately by 7 dB. High potential for cutting of energy consumption and reduction of CO2 emission. Decreased need for technical maintenance and extension of service life of cooled electronic power supply control devices.
